Terms of sale

The seller is Dead Simple Computing Ltd, trading as Dead Simple Components, registered in England and Wales, company 11670139, registered office Unit 6, 60 Portman Road, Reading RG30 1EA. VAT number available on request and shown on every invoice.

Prices and payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT at 20%. Delivery is charged separately at checkout. Payment is taken in full when you place the order, through Shopify Payments or the other providers offered at checkout. We do not store card details.

Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it, and a contract is formed, when we send the shipping confirmation. If we cannot supply an item, for example because the distributor's stock figure was wrong or a price was clearly mistaken, we will tell you before despatch and refund in full.

Delivery and risk

Delivery is to UK addresses only, as set out in our delivery policy. The goods become your responsibility when they are delivered to the address you gave us.

Returns, faults and warranties

Your rights to cancel, and our obligations for faulty goods, are set out in our returns policy and are not reduced by these terms. Manufacturer warranties are in addition to your statutory rights; the warranty terms shown on a product page are the manufacturer's own.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise our liability to consumers is limited to losses that were a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract, and we are not liable for business losses. For business customers, our total liability in respect of an order is limited to the price paid for it.

Business customers

Where you buy in the course of a business, the consumer protections in these terms and in our returns policy do not apply, and any invoice terms agreed with you in writing take precedence.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales; consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also use their local courts.
